DescriptionLove him or hate him, Liefeld was one of the giants of the 90's comic scene. And this page is a perfect example of both. Is it anatomically correct? Oh, hell no. Is it beautiful and nostalgic and full of danger? Oh, yeaaaa.I found this online in the middle of nowhere and paid one friend to drive and get it and another friend to pick it up from him and ship it to me. It was a week of eager anticipation. That's the cool thing about this hobby...there's still plenty of art hiding/missing in sources that pop up randomly, and we can all go to sleep at night with a dream of being the one to discover it. If collecting art is akin to treasure hunting, then you've got one of the best Pirate Booties in the hobby...oh wait...that came out wrong. Congrats on a huge pickup! Liefeld is a fantastic artist and there is a reason he's one of the giants of the 90's.

Young whipper snapper Liefeld just slaying it. Great piece! The patented Benz pickup story is also a great addition to the collection of epic pickups!

I miss the days when the more expensive Marvel books like Wolverine and Excalibur had pinups on the back cover. A fantastic piece from a wonderful time to be a kid collecting comics.

Not the biggest Liefeld fan (but to be totally fair, with a few exceptions, the 90s were kind of a lost decade to me so I have no nostalgic ties to the comics of that time), but this works for me. I like the way he uses roughly 70% inks to 30% negative space and ninjas, ninjas, ninjas. Heck, even things that might bother me on some other image he might have drawn, like how Wolverine's legs and feet are basically just sort of overly cartoony shapes, looks kind of cool here.

Love him or hate him, he had an impact. I rememeber his work on these covers fondly. Those ninjas creeping out of the shadows are graphically amazing.

Love me some nineties Wolverine. What a great Wolvie image from one of the 90's rock stars. Creepy ninjas, funny feet (a Liefeld staple), viscious Wolverine, oh and its a Liefeld! What more could you ask for? Killer pick up, congrats!

Rob Liefeld art is my "guilty pleasure" and this is a really great example. I have actually never seen this one before, but I like it very much!

Ooh, love this, man. If I'm going for a Liefeld piece, definitely going in this vein! Super dangerous Wolvie, 'bout to do what he do! Love the blades, their sheen, and the eye slits being what you see against the all black background. Perfect pin up! Congrats!
