Sincere congrats, Fisch.  ICONIC.  Really can't be beat in terms of SS, JB, OA in general.  A perfect shot of the Surfer and that dialogue...the whole piece caps this book off exquisitely.

I can't believe I've never left a comment on this splash, but nevertheless, I have to say it's one of the all time best splash pages I've ever seen. Everything about this splash is extraordinary! I love the composition of the page, with the Silver Surfer soaring through space, but not an empty space, it's a space filled with stars and stellar dust and moons and comets. I love Buscema's skillful drawing of the Surfer here, his body is not standing straight up, it's leaning outward, you can feel SS's yearning to be out amongst the stars, you can feel his love of the cosmos. And the inks! Such superb inking throughout the piece! I love how Buscema combines the classic Kirby Krackle with sweeping cloud-like cosmic gases and a beautiful exploding star above SS's head. Really, I can't say too much about how I'm blown away by this page. Truly one of the best, if not the best, splashes ever. My sincere congratulations.

How on earth did I miss this one? I guess it 's been flying around the universe all this time in another dimension like my brain,lol.Seriously, this is a great one to own and cherish ! I too have an FF page that shows the Surfer in space but not like this one,not a full splash! Congrats on prying it out of the hands of Rob, as he is a terrific guy to deal with !

So great to see this example of peak comics in the collection that loves it. John's art is elegant and expressive, and Stan's writing here is tasteful and succinct. It's true that every time a comic art collector acquires a long sought grail, you hear a bell, and an angel gets his wings.

So, in other words...SUFFICIENT?
