Description

This one is really special - this is the first image that eventually became the vampire hideout in Lost Boys - a film that you've definitely seen dozens of times if you grew up in the 80s. In the movie, the hideout is in an old hotel destroyed by an earthquake. Supposedly, the production designer had a hard time showing the illustrator what he wanted, so he took a model of a room and smashed it, and said that's what he wanted - that smashed model became this concept and then the setting that's actually in the film.

The image is very detailed and big (18" x 24"). There are a lot of details - the buttresses, the chandeliers, the garbage can fires - but to me, the best part is the dirt bikes that play such a great part in the film.
