DescriptionI didn't expect to add a new Howard Porter JLA page so soon to my collection but here we are. It seems fitting too since the previous one was from the first JLA story and this is from Howard's last issue on his legendary JLA run. And what a storyline to jump off as well. The Tower of Babel has been cited as one of the greatest Justice League/Batman story ever. It wasn't about a multiversal end of the world story. It's just a small contained human nature story highlighting Batman's paranoia toward metahumans and how it brought down the League. When Grant Morrison passed the torch to Mark Waid, we knew the JLA book will shine on. And it's crazy to see how Howard's style evolved so much since the first issue. Perhaps it was Drew Geraci's smooth ink that made the difference. But here they are. The JLA doing what they do best one last time under Howard's pencil.Thank you Howard & Drew Social/Sharing |

A story idea from Morrison that transcends all the reboots of DC and across different mediums. Agreed that the Geraci inks where thicker and more smoothed out than Dell's art. While Dell's looks pumped up the kinetic action, this look deepened the darker and heavy aspects of the storyline.
