DescriptionThe all-new X-Men era was so exciting with Brian Michael Bendis taking over the franchise. Bringing the original 5 X-Men from the past to the present to meet their future selves was quite an interesting twist. Of course, Marvel stretched that story way longer than they should have but it was enough to pull me to the book. Brian brought with him the amazing Stuart Immonen to pencil the flagship book. And this is the page that changed everything. The dramatic meeting of the 2 Hank McCoy. The shocking look on young Beast as he deduces who is that blue furry fellow standing before him. I always thought Stuart drew the best Beast in his feline look. That first panel always stuck with me. So it was fitting Stuart was the last artist to draw that version. His style blends in every genre. He drew the little X-Men in their civilian garment and reflected the 60's perfectly. Which makes you wonder, how old are the X-Men today?Thank you Stuart and Wade!!! A great premise with the time travel angle that made it appeal to new and old readers who might have been skeptical about another relaunch issue 1.

Altough not as game changer as the Krakoa or the Morrison era, the plot was worthy of a good relaunch. It was new and fresh enough to pull me in.

Always loved this page. One of the more prominent X-men launches with Bendis and Stuart hitting a high peak artistically.
The huge image of Beast in a new mutation, plus that great shot of the OG X-men looking like real teenagers from the 60's, and some great Hank McCoy <> modern Beast panel work.
congrats!

Thanks! It feels like this page was the foundation for the entire run.
