DescriptionPost 2 of 2 for tonight. Here is some fantastic battle action from the recent exciting story arc in ASM #27-30. In this Spidey tale, Doc Ock decides that his old mechanical arms have betrayed him (and stepped out on him) a few too many times, so he creates a new set of high-tech tentacles and then proceeds to Norman Osborn's offices to confront his greatest nemesis .... SPIDER-MAN! On this page, Ock really has old Web-Head on the ropes. Oh no!! But never fear, JJJ manages to grab Spidey and whisk him away to regroup. And you'll never guess what happens next! (Stay tuned for more posts from this awesome story). Social/Sharing |

That is the best Doc Ock vs Spidey page I have seen in a long time, just love it. Congrats!

That last panel with the side profile is a nice face to face. The top is presented like three keys of a piano as Spidey gets tuned up by Ock.

Nice piano analogy! You can also imagine each impact accompanied by the dissonance of slamming your palm against an array of piano keys.

We've seen so many variations of this scene over the years, which is part of the reason it's so cool to see it again with McGuinness treatment! I love Ock's look on this book, and it really does seem like Ed's having a blast on the run! Congrats!
