"Is there something wrong with my face, soldier?"

I've repeatedly missed out on getting art from Daniel Warren Johnson, whether it be an art drop or a con sketch, and I didn't have high hopes when I got into line late on Saturday at C2E2. I only went on a lark (just in case...), and somehow, there were still two tickets available for 4"x6" commissions when I got to his table (I helped a fellow collector get the last one).

Daniel has done plenty of amazing takes on various Marvel, DC, and Star Wars characters, but I went with one of my favorite movie characters, whom I knew Daniel would do justice to- Rita Vrataski from Edge of Tomorrow (as played by Emily Blunt). I absolutely loved her character and design, and I knew that there were plenty of cool action moments for Daniel to choose from. Interestingly enough, he went with a pose I'm fond of, with her standing while resting her helicopter blade on her shoulder, and then added a fun line from the movie.
