Description

Jon Haward was a UK based comic artist who worked on a number of Marvel publications including Spectacular Spider-Man and Rampage, along with many other publications. This piece is a large painting he did for an exhibition of his work in Lowestoft, England in 1999.

It's a very well executed piece - maybe a bit TOO scary! Possibly Haward was exorcising some of his own demons when he painted it.

I have also added a newspaper article and one of Haward's own blog posts which both feature the artwork. These are in the 'additional images' below the main image. As the blog post describes, the artwork was originally housed in a fake brick work (chicken wire and plaster) frame making it look as though the Hulk was bursting through the wall.
