Description19”x29” (frame 28”x38”) Painted and purchased in 2022. I always liked the black and white painting, Kane Naichoryss (https://lesedwards.com/en-us/products/kane-naichoryss), and thought it would make a good prelim for a full color piece. However, by the time I committed to buying it, she had sold. Les said he was very interested in doing a full color piece of it. I asked him to put some creatures in the shadows in the background and I wanted the viewer to wonder; do they belong to her or does she belong to them? This was the amazing result.He wrote on his website, “I've often thought of taking some of my black and white illustrations and turning them into full colour paintings and this was a chance to try it out. It evolved somewhat from the original but I think I've managed to keep the right feel. She's definitely up to no good.” Included was the 16”x22” preliminary drawing for the painting. Social/Sharing |
