Description

14”x14” Drawn in 1952; purchased 2024. Editorial cartoon appearing on the front page of the October 3, 1952, issue of Washington, D.C.’s The Evening Star newspaper. Inscribed to Clarkson Gemmill who appears to have worked at the Evening Star and/or was a Giant Food Store executive at the time. His name appears in a number of the newspapers; particularly in the bowling section.
