DescriptionBig John with a great page featuring Captain Britain, Captain America, and Nick Fury. It's a masterclass of figure drawing with Tom Palmer on inks and halftones. I love the different angles of each hero's body, it really sells the action of the escape sequence. The Michelangelo of comics shows why he's the guy we can't get enough of..and how about that Fury pistol shot! Some additional historical info (via Comic Link) I found interesting: "...a great page that has not been widely seen by American collectors. It was published in Captain Britain #26 (1977), which was only distributed in Great Britain. Launched in 1976, Captain Britain was the first original content published by Marvel UK, who had previously only reprinted American stories." Social/Sharing |

The way it is drawn and screen toned, would make us think that this had been published in black and white. It has stunning Marvel styled action throughout!

Perfect Buscema example! Absolutely phenomenal. Every pose is right on, and there are so many classic Big Johnisms in the musculature, hands, faces, staging, and action. Love Palmer's inks and zip-a-tone as well
