Description

A stunning splash of Harley donning her newly gifted suit and ready for vengeance. Matteo really honed in his art style for this series and it's on full display here. Everything is painted with care: notice the transparencies of Harley's facial features showing through her hair, the delicate inks on the shingled rooftops, and the smooth gradients of costume and atmosphere. All painted from an incredibly hard "upshot" camera angle no less. Matteo the beast!

Congrats on adding another great Matteo piece to your collection! I didn't like this page at first because of the upward camera angle, but over time, I appreciate that it really is a difficult angle to pull off, and he really shows her strength and calmness in this scene before the rest of the story begins.

Thanks Kin! I agree there is an initial peculiarity due to the dramatic upward angle but I'm glad you appreciate it now. It would be interesting to see how other artists have tackled similar compositions.

Stunning Harley Quinn page by the very talented Sean Murphy! Love the ink wash that Sean used here. The whole scene is incredibly gorgeous. As is Harley herself. Great pick-up!
