DescriptionContinuing with the final four pages of a back-up story by Nathan Stockman that I am posting tonight. In this jam-packed two-page sequence, it's a BATTLE ROYALE as EVERYONE is now in the fray. The Fantastic Four (2013 team) battles Mr Negative's Inner-Demons and Superior Spider-Man (Doc Ock in Peter Parker's body) continues to fight Spider-Boy (who has temporarily been turned evil by Mr Negative). Check out Ant-Man’s sick ‘eye kick’ in that second panel. Haha! With an "Enough, Child!," Ock/Spidey manages to break Spider-Boy free from his 'negativized state' by doling out some pretty nasty trash talk. The Fantastic Four members are understandably mortified. But the Superior Spider-Man is not finished, and he continues to reject Spider-Boy as he webs away. But we discover that he is doing this because he is fearful of Spider-Boy's abilities to see things that others don't, which is dangerous to someone who is currently inhabiting someone else's body. The last panel is very nice, as the Fantastic Four accept Spider-Boy into their family. What a great 10-page story, drawn by the extremely talented (and heckuva nice guy) Nathan Stockman! Thanks for following along with all my posts this week. Social/Sharing |

That's the way! Un hunh, un hunh, I like it! Un hunh, un hunh!
Now THIS provides a great view of the clean, crisp storytelling. You can marvel at all the distinct, individual images within each panel, but simultaneously open up a grander view and enjoy it as a whole! So much great stuff going on in these two pages!

I knew you'd like this post the best :-)
I went back and forth about whether to post these pages singly or in twos. I went with singly because I thought each one had enough going on to merit that, and I wanted to give each page its due. But I could have definitely gone the other way, especially for pages 5 & 6. In fact, your comment on page 5 about posting in twos inspired me to make sure I did that at least once. It seemed to work especially well for the last two pages. Anyway.... thanks for all the comments!!

Great conclusion as the takeaways are that Superior Spider-Man acts as an outsider even to fellow heroes and especially to Spider-Boy!

A fitting final post for this 10 page story with the whole party involved in the battle! I especially love those final 3 panels on page 10. Thanks for sharing this whole story from an artist I had not seen as much from!

Nice back to backs! Can definitely see why you got both and posted both together! Congrats on this as well as the whole story by one of the nicest dudes in the biz in Nate Stockman! And as a fellow fan of Superior Spider-Man...bravo! Congrats!
