Description

The ongoing Spider-Boy series has been so much fun, and it's still going strong!

Issue 12 came out last Wednesday, and not only did we get great action with guest stars Daredevil and Bullseye, but we were introduced to the all-new SPIDER-GIRL!

A big part of the enjoyment of the character of Spider-Boy is that although no one remembered him until just recently (because he was erased from existence for a while), he has been around for quite some time. So, for instance, in this issue we get a flashback of Spider-Boy being trained by -- and then having an adventure with -- Daredevil. An adventure that now has repercussions in the present. The ironic thing in this issue is that when the all-new Spider-Girl appears on the scene, she berates Spider-Boy for not remembering HER.

"It's because of you ... THAT I'M SPIDER-GIRL!"

PLUS ... before webbing up Spider-Boy and Daredevil with barbed webbing (barbed webbing!!) and peacing out with Bullseye, she reveals that she knows Spider-Boy is Bailey Briggs!

So ... COOL ... a new mystery character! VERY exciting.

Looking forward to the next couple issues of Spider-Boy for sure.

What a great shot.  Love the posing and the super cool perspective.  And that's some fine pencil work to boot.

Clean lines, nice cityscape, and dizzying perspective!  Nice work.

Never mind Daredevil, Spider-Boy or even Spider-Girl. This issue also has a appearance of Batroc the Leaper!!!!!!!!
Mondialement connu dans le quartier!

A great aerial perspective to make vertigo sufferers weak in the knees. Great Daredevil cover!

Great addition to your Spider-Boy collection! This cover has so much depth I feel like I'm falling into it. Such a cool team up too!

Mind melting storyline!  You want to reach out with the rapidly falling away action poses!  The cityscape from this top down view never ceases to bring a thrill!

This is the heir apparent / One Minute Later cover to Quesada's 1998 Daredevil #1 cover, right?  I love the perspective, of course, and the cityscape itself is rendered -SO- well...  Such a strong composition (the billy club in the viewer's face is always a winner!), but you'd think the addition of Spider-Boy would allow for some webbing to add a sticky tangle to the mess...  Ah, well!  He's just Spider-BOY, I guess.  He'll learn. :) Awesome Medina piece, Paul - congrats!

I love the perspective and "billy club in your face" too.  And funny thing ...  though there would have been plenty of webbing if this cover image was set in the past, in the present Spider-Boy is called "the web-less wonder" because he hasn't earned his webs yet.  Which, now that I write it, seems weird.  Why can't he use webs now if he used them in the past?  There are just SO MANY mysteries surrounding this character!

Damn, LOVE the detailed and clean linework of these pencils by Medina. Really very nice and the combo image between Daredevil and Spider-Boy mid-air is really cool. I haven't gotten around to reading the Spider-Boy series yet but it's on the list for sure!

How'd I miss this one?!  One of Paco's recent best, no doubt!  Both poses so dynamic, composed well together, and he went to town (or around I say city?!) on that straight down perspective background!  Congrats, man!
