First post of 2025!

It's no secret Denys Cowan is one of my all time favorite artists. I first saw his work while reading the 1988 Green Arrow series. He did a couple of fill in issues and some cover work for the series. The art in those issues really stood out as they looked different than the previous art. Green Arrow looked grittier/meaner and more of a badass. Green Arrow was already my favorite character so when Cowan filled in as artist I liked him even more.

I was a regular reader of Mike Grell's 1988 Green Arrow series. When Green Arrow crossed over in a title called the Question, I had to check it out. Green Arrow appeared in Question #18. Read it, went back to the comic shop and bought #17. Fell in love with the end splash of #17 and that was it, I was hooked.

The Question was not your typical comic book. Stories were filled with politics, corruption, drugs and tons of shades of grey. The art was fantastic it fit the stories perfectly. The Question became one of my favorite books and characters and made me a fan of Denys Cowan. I've been following him ever since.

Denys is a class act and won't even get mad if you're a youtube show host that mispronunces his name as Cohen. The Cowan style was ideal for this core Milestone high tech character!
