Description

I'm very happy to have this historic page, somewhat tangential to my Avengers collection. A very early appearance of the silver age Atom , he joins the JLA in this issue. The panels are dramatic and the Atom is knocked unconscious by a falling lamp! I don't want to overlook the masterful inking of Bernard Sachs with powerful black shading.

The Atom joins the Justice League and the first thing he does is to punch out Batman, getting knocked himself out in the process. Then he finds himself rolling down a bowling alley as part of an "Atom" bomb with the JLA as the target. Just a few more pages to go for him to save the day.

It's funny to see the $5.00 asking price in the lower right side.
