Description

Well, since I may never actually own my holy grail (Grendel #7 cover by The Pander Bros.) I asked the one and only Mr. Manix Abrera to recreate it, and boy did he deliver!

Grendel (Christine Spar) versus Tujiro XIV, Kabuki actor and vampire.

Done on A4 paper (8.3" x 11.7") Manix used metalic paint for the background and gave such incredible attention to detail, from the hair on Tujiro's arms to the multiple samurai actors in the background, he just knocked this out of the park, going above and beyond. I had to take a high res pic since scanning didn't do the colors justice, and since it really doesn't compare to seeing it in person.

I've attached the actual cover for comparison drawn by Jacob and Arnold Pander.

Next best thing, Josh, and Manix really did his thing! Great stylized pure illustration and the colors...whew. I know what you mean about a scan not capturing them all, especially when he uses some sheeny ink. Congrats!
