Description

Picking a commission from an artist is an art in itself. In terms of someone like Nir Levie, I like to offer him options or, better yet, ask him in person at OAX. We discussed a couple ideas and he really liked the idea of doing Snoopy & Woodstock.

Of course, if you know Nir (and why don't you already!?) then you know that his commissions are going to be like nothing you expect or have ever seen, in the best possible way. I knew that if I asked for these two beloved characters he would provide his own interpretation, often informed by an array of influences like classic art, photography, and his own view of the world.

"Just let Nir do his thing" is my motto with the commissions I've done with him and I have yet to be disappointed. The only problem is when I see other commissioned works people get I feel a tinge of FOMO for not requesting that. Oh well, that just means I have to work on my next Nir commission!

He colored a copy, I got both together with the rough - 3 separate pieces

Wonderful commission choice! Nir does what he does and the end result is fantastic. This is a perfect example of why you commission. Congrats!
