DescriptionAs the culmination of all the Amazing Spider-Man #17 & #18 pages I have posted in the past few months, I present to you the 1st ever COVER appearance of REK-RAP!!Look at him! So enthusiastic, tongue hanging out, happy as can be. He's so awesome! Spidey though ... he's not so sure about this new addition to the Spiderverse. But like all of us, I'm sure Spidey will grow to love him. Rek-Rap began (in issue #17) as a cute little demon of Limbo who came to idolize Spider-Man after being rescued by him. The demon guy donned some Spidey underoos and declared himself to be the hero "Parker-Man," but (surprisingly) no one took him seriously. Later he was transformed into a bulky cross between Spider-Man and Venom, with the personality traits of a 'Bizarro Spider-Man." In issue #18, Spidey and Rek-Rap teamed up to battle the Insidious Six, a bunch of ragtag demons who were transformed into bizarro versions of classic Spidey foes. Special thanks to P A for parting with this gem, and of course the fabulously talented Ed McGuinness for drawing it!! And thank you all for looking! Social/Sharing |

I'm so out of touch with the current spiderverse. I don't even know who this character is, but I love his cool feet. And of course you can't go wrong with a McGuinness Spidey cover. Congrats buddy!

They should get a van, then both of them can join up with MJ and Felicia. They can all go around and solve mysteries. If it don't work out then they can park the van and keep Matt Foley company.

Radical dude! Rek-Rep's charisma is through the roof! He can't be contained within mere comics and should make appearances in other medium too!

YEEEEEEAAAAAH! REK-RAP is killing it! Seriously, who needs Spider-Boy when we already have Rek-Rap?!? On a fantastic looking first appearance cover to boot! I DEMAND a Rek-Rap ongoing series!

It's safe to say you have cornered the market on Rek-Rap art. Such fun and well drawn first cover! I love that it has a classic feel with that large Spidey and speed lines with a great spin on a classic pose breaking through the page.

The arrival of Rek-Rap! Ha ha, and what a way to arrive, channeling both some Pete and Eddie :) I love the back-away-hands-up by Pete there! And McGuinness's Spidey...love how we see some classic JRSR in it! Congrats!
