�I feel like I know her, but sometimes my arms bend back.�

Matthew Dunn is an artist from Australia that has a unique art style and primarily works in black and white ink. His finished pieces have a wonderful contrast and truly have an original feel to them. Last year he released a 15 page art booklet that focused on quite possibly my favorite thing ever, The Black Lodge, which is a sinister setting from David Lynch's television series Twin Peaks. It is clearly one of his favorite things as well.

All of the original art from this booklet was done on 4�x6� watercolor postcards. I actually missed the first couple of cards that he put up for sale, but he recently added some more of them to his online store. I ended up buying the remaining dozen that were left from the booklet. It's at that point I got the idea that I should frame them all. Safe to say that was a very good idea, especially double matted in red and black! I also commissioned Matt to do four more postcards to make a total of sixteen. He even threw in an extra Laura Palmer!

With all of these postcards, Matt has successfully managed to capture some of the most iconic Black Lodge related moments from the series. As a fan they are so recognizable, but also have his signature touch to them. Each one stands alone as a stunning vignette showcasing the mystery, as well as the terror that is the Black Lodge. The use of negative space and heavy black ink makes each postcard catch your eye. When viewed all together, the whole is impressively greater than the sum of its parts.

I highly recommend that you give Matt Dunn a follow. He is another artist whose work just doesn't look like anybody else and I absolutely love that. The sincerest of thank you's to Matt for these postcards. The effort and time put in to each one clearly shows and makes for an epic end result. I am ecstatic to get these framed and up on the wall! This piece shall hang on my wall for many years to come.

The choices he made on what to draw are spot on. Each one has it's own symbolic meaning. Combined, they are a tapestry of what makes Twin Peaks so enduring and celebrated.
