DescriptionThis week, my theme is TITLE SPLASHES!Both DC and Marvel. I was really happy when I grabbed this Green Lantern splash, not just because of the great big image of Hal Jordan in flight, but also because very early in my art collecting, I acquired the cover to this issue (see additional pic). Plus, I just love the look of having the story title, the text boxes and the artist credits all on there. Though, I have to say, Hal does NOT paint a very nice portrait of southern California. Even though I'm of the age where Kyle Rayner technically should've been "my" Green Lantern, Hal has always been where it's at for me!

Been a fan of Mark's since his Iron Man days. Great title splash, with my favorite GL (apologies to Guy Gardner, Kyle Rayner, and John Stewart).. Some fine inking by Romeo.

Yup, Hal Jordan will still always be my original Green Lantern, as well. Great splash (ugly haircut, though nowhere near as bad as mullett Changeling of which I own many examples! 😉) featuring some real solid anatomy and nice figure pose. Great match for your cover, too!

It's a great iconic slash of the series that typifies how aged they were making Hal in the 90's with the squaresville look as he was always the by the book space cop. As usual, unaware how even after all his heroing, he left the world in this state for the next generation to inherit.

Funny thing is I was so happy when I left Southern California. Getting away from that traffic was just amazing. Also, not a fan of earthquakes having been in a really big one. Although, I guess I do miss going to the beach every day. All small talk aside. BAM!!! A title splash and then some with all its magnificence. Love this page.

Fantastic splash. Bright has a terrific handle on characters in flight.
Thanks for sharing.

She may be a horrible, smelly, soul-sucking beast, but she's my horrible, smelly, soul-sucking beast. LA! Hal should work for Hallmark. Dig the attitude and feel of the splash. It feels like a real moment, and his expression is perfect. Sweet page, Paul. Congrats!

Classic title splash! Hal sporting the Reed Richards look :) Got a hopefuly smile on his face...little does he know...
I like all the speed lines in the background - brings some great energy and movement! Dig that "Back in Charge" lettering, too :) Congrats!
