DescriptionIt's "DC Week" here on my CAF.I bought this beauty at the 2013 Cincinnati Comic Con from Doug Mahnke and Christian Alamy at their table. This is the only time I attended that Con. It was a really fun day. I was in town visiting my sister & nephews at the time. My nephews, who were 20 and 17 years old at the time, went to the Con with me. I was 48 and definitely the giddiest of the three of us. I actually kept going back to Doug and Christian's table to buy stuff. The third time I shelled out the dough, Doug said "You must not be married." I laughed and said, "Yup, I'm a bachelor." He said, "That's why you have all this money." They were a great couple of guys. We joked around a lot. The published pages (check out the add'l pic) are great because they identify every member of the Corps, along with some info about their History, Powers and Weaknesses. It's a Who's Who of Green Lantern members! The character of Arisia particularly caught my eye. I think she is drawn so beautifully. Both Doug and Christian said that they were particularly happy with how she turned out. But hey, they all look pretty great! Thrilled to share this one with you all. Social/Sharing |

This is a roll call of everyone on Team Green! It's getting us hyped for the storyline where they'd have to face all the other lantern teams.

It's got nearly the whole corps...It's missing Rek-Rap!

I can totally see Rek-Rap as a Green Lantern! Imagine the things he would create with his ring using that silly & skewed imagination of his! It would truly be a wild ride.

Now THIS is right up my alley, wow! Such a great piece and how fortuitous to be able to get it from them at a convention. I love the Mahnke/Alamy team! Of course, this is just serving to remind me of how excited I was when DC began reprinting the Johns Green Lantern run, but have only put out 4 issues in maybe 5 years and are now seemingly starting from scratch again, but in different formats. AAAAAAARGH! Still, GREAT piece!

Hey!!! What are you doing over on the DC side? Are you trying to give Aunt May a heart attack?

Aunt May -- along with Randy Robertson, Pete's new squeeze Shay and some other dude -- were recently killed and brought back to life in the pages of Amazing Spider-Man. It's never boring for that old bird.

Was ALL about reading GL at this time and large part of that was Mahnke's work. He really killed it on the run and this is hard to top as a representative piece. Congrats!
