Description

Nick Pitarra draws a giant dude smashing things with a giant weapon! No, it's not his signature character Axe-Wielder John. But close enough; it's a variant cover for Rob Guillory's series about a janitor on a divine mission to break stuff and save his daughter. The image presents both characters in a montage of two scenes, including one in which a whole cyber-city comes alive to challenge them. The crazy Moebius-looking city-head in the upper right corner sold me on this piece without a second thought at OAX 2024. This was my favorite surprise of the convention.

The art spreads over two 11"x17" boards which contained a blue line printout for layout, but Pitarra varied the final results quite a bit from that blue-line in some areas.

It's every one of Pitarra's strenghts as an artist on a grand display piece! It's more lines than Pitarra himself can even count.
