Description

Of all the Hostess ads that I've read and ranked, I love this one the most. The idea that Joker doesn't like Hostess Fruit Pies, and the cops that capture him end the ad with "Wow! He IS crazy!"...as far as gags go, it's downright hilarious!

The replacement stat is getting done for the logo.

Haha this is great. Smart on Joker. Give the cops a good sugar rush and they just crash hard later while he can escape. Crazy Joker doesn't need the extra carbs or extra energy ;)

The real heroes are the poor production interns who had to stat, reduce, stat, turn, and tip in all of those pie images. Their little workhouse fingers must have bled from a thousand Exacto blade cuts.

Kind of an oddity that no superheroes save the day here. Truly a niche page in a niche category.

It's a great slice of comic history, but I'm sure the inks are by Vince Colletta rather than Tex Blaisdell
