DescriptionI've admired Steve Skroce's work since first seeing it on Cable and X-Man. His work on Amazing Spider-Man shortly after saw him really refine his style and kick things into high gear.After a brief sabbatical from comics to work as storyboard artist on a tiny independent film called The Matrix, Steve returned to Marvel with a bang on Gambit. This particular issue guest-starred DD and this opening DPS is Skroce excelling at his craft - dynamic, balls-to-the-wall, action story-telling. Social/Sharing |

I used to have a really nice Skroce X-Men cover that I foolishly sold. This amazing DPS makes me wonder how I could have been so stupid. That DD in the top panel is absolutely gorgeous!

Skroce's detail work is above and beyond. I remember geeking out meeting him while working on the MATRIX movies, he signed my poster and even drew a little Matrix Sentinel to go along with it. His work on these series were X-ceptional and this DPS is a beauty.

I was severly tempted by this one as I find Gambit remains one of Skroce best efforts. Why this guy is not more in demand (from companies and fans) I don't know.

Proper use of a top DPS panel and the panel layout is outstanding. I like it, I like it a lot.

Killer spread, dude! These are some of my favorite pieces, that incorporate the splashy shot with some storytelling panels. And this one's all out action, highlighted by a fully extended DD up top! Hells yeah. Congrats!
