An outstanding story! Hi first full story for Marvel, and the work he put into it shows he wanted to impress.

The cross-hatching detail on all the pages and the richly shadowed compositions are just astounding. Seeing this, you would not have to wonder that Alcala would go on to be a legend!

This is great, the 1st Alcala story in solo at Marvel. The splash is enormous. It's good the whole story is kept together.

Beautifully illustrated with the costume drama of horror of the 70's. Melodramatic with all that dialogue when most of us would have just ran for it! You can feel the adrenaline pumping with the rising tension until the fire is thrust into the face.

I love the way Alcala drew and inked masonry. I mean, yeah, the vampire stuff is cool, too.

You can't beat the detail on the art created for those black and white magazines. Such an illustrative style.
