DescriptionAshitaka and Yakul encountering the Forest Spirit, from Princess Mononoke.Matt did a stellar Nausicaä commission illustration and Riso print a couple of months back, so when he posted he was open to doing one more commission like it to justify a personal expense, I didn't hesitate in reaching out. Gave free rein to tackle anything Miyazaki and he ended up going Princess Mononoke, the beautiful end result of which can be seen above. Matt was a pleasure to work with. Done within less than a week of first contact with the artwork safely in hand on the other side of the globe just about a week after that. 11x14 Edit: Now also a Riso print for Matt's Patreon, as seen in the additional image. The border included there is a separate piece, to be filled in with a future piece Social/Sharing |

Great illo! It's fantasy in its purest form celebrating nature itself with the fine pencil rendering for all the organic shapes and textures.
