DescriptionFrank Frazetta - Original Sketches - This historic piece of art, from one of Frank Frazetta's very early sketch books, is labeled with the title, "The Doodle Book... by Frank Frazetta, 1953" at the top in ink. Below this is Frazetta's then current address in Brooklyn, NY as well as his home and studio telephone numbers. The page is filled with various pen and ink doodles, including a male and female nude figure, what appears to be foliage, clouds, and a woman with flowing, black hair, drawn by the then 25 year old Frazetta. This work has been published multiple times, including The Fantastic Worlds of Frank Frazetta by Taschen.The work is clean and clear, with some aging apparent across the entire page, due to the material that Frazetta originally drew on and serving as the cover of his first doodle book. It has also been mounted, matted and framed to preserve the delicate nature of the piece. The entire piece measures 7.5 X 10 inches. A very unique and interesting part of Frank Frazetta history.
