Description

Jeff Jones' fluid line brings this figure study to life. Rendered in ink on a 9" x 12" sheet of paper, and signed with the "J" monograph at the lower left. Published by IDW publishing in �Jeffrey Jones: A Life in Art� in the last book published before Jones passed away. Subsequent editions honored Jones in the post notes of this gorgeous artbook in 2011. Aside from some light soiling along the left edge and a small tear in the upper left corner, the work is in Very Good condition.

It looks very familiar in this form as this leaves a big impression. It fascinates us more to see Jones' noodling linework pull the character out from her imagination.

I believe it was done around the mid 90s when the card sets for FPG were released. I also find it interesting the prelim originally had a sword by his side, which makes me think it's similar to other warrior works by Jonesat the time. The Kaluta theory is an interesting one!
