DescriptionIt can be said that each new issue of Transformers is jam packed with story and moments. Each page has purpose and serves the story well & for that reason they each feel like a memorable moment. On this page we see Jorge Corona channel the over the top robotic acrobats with Optimus Prime charging in with a flying round house kick to Soundwave’s face! A fun fighting action moment was definitely on my Transformers wishlist and thankfully this one was available. As a wonderful bonus, there are some great quick beats of storytelling as well. I love how the page flows with Soundwave dropping Shockwave (in gun mode) and his transformation leads the eye down to the next panel where Shockwave prepares to go after Optimus (who is attending to the fallen Ratchet). Then we get a great face off as these two adversaries take each other head on for the first time in the story!Corona quickly impressed when he took over art duties on issue 7 but I feel like he truly settled into the assignment on this issue. Its frenetic pace is drawn beautifully, with plenty of emotion coming off each page! Social/Sharing |

Honestly, I really dig this page. I also feel like Jorge just keeps getting better and better, issue after issue. I hope he stays on the book for a while, even if it means taking a break here and there (which he is doing for now). Congrats! I've seen your unboxing video for this and I'm sure you were super hyped opening that package up.

I very much agree! I'd love to see him stay as long as he can! I feel like the style he has established here (an extension of DWJ but something very much his own) is perfect for this book! Appreciate you watching the unboxing video! I had such a blast opening that package, I just kept thinking I didn't want it to be a super long video. I also wanted to wrap it up just so I could stare at the pages even closer!

That's fantastic! Welcome to the club! Theses pages are so darn fun & your page specifically has some wonderfully detailing, burning & bubbling metal! Also has some great facial expressions, something I think Jorge does wonderfully!

Important page as Soundwave is dispatched quickly to reveal that he had no claim to leadership in the first place! The true leader of the Decpeticons arrives and we get those face off panels that put Shockwave and Prime as equals.

Soundwave may not be full time leader material, but he caused the downfall of Starscream... does he also do the same and bring down Shockwave? All due to the poor treatment of his pet... Soundwave may just be the John Wick of the Energon Universe!

It was great to see this when you unboxed it, but better now that I can get a closer look. Corona's work is just so good. An excellent job keeping the look of the book consistent following DWJ's arc, but still very much his own!

Couldn't agree more! Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the series since you are coming at it after hearing so much praise for it. That can really mess with expectations!

Awesome page! I am loving this book and Corona's art just keeps getting better with each issue.
