DescriptionAdding another wonderful Beachcomber example to my Energon Universe gallery. What can I say that I haven't already said? I really fell in love with this little bot when he was introduced into the Transformers series, largely due to the incredible, largely textless, 5 page "origin" sequence from issue 10. In fact, that 5 page sequence remains my personal favorite sequence from the whole series. This is page one of that sequence (and of the issue). We get a flashback recap of what Beachcomber has been up to and just how it came to be that he arrived on Earth. Here we see that he was present during the battle aboard the Ark but before it crash landed on Earth, he was tossed out into space by Skywarp and gets stranded on the moon. It's there that he spends millions of years just observing the beauty of Earth from afar. He falls in love with that beauty, which helps inform and confirm his decisions later to not take part in anything that will bring harm to the planet. Beautifully executed storytelling & you instantly learn just about everything you need to know about the character's motivations. I'll let the beauty of the page speak for itself, but a few standout elements are the chaos of the war being waged in the background of the first panel and the amazing sense of weightlessness as Beachcomber floats in space (breaking panels) on his trajectory that sets him on his path towards the Moon. I love this page so much & a huge thank you to fellow friend and collector Hunter who was kind enough to pass ownership of this one to me! The Spark at the Arc Battle Royale first panel puts us in the action right away! Beachcomber gets thrown over the top rope and onto the moon! The same moon that follows us!

Man, such great images all over the page, especially the bottom three withthe outer space background. Corona has really done a bang up job on this series. Congrats again on cracking open another Corona. Nothing wrong with being past a six-pack, as long as you love it!

Nobody can touch Jorge Corona on the amount of incredible detail and expression he can cram on an 11x17!
