Description

A tormented Doctor Doom removes his mask and takes a gander at his own frightful face on this great page from the 1969 story "This Man...This Demon!" The story could also have been titled: "Fear and Loathing in Latveria." This is the first solo story featuring Doctor Doom, which also retells his origin. It's also the first appearance of his first love, Valeria. The page was signed by Larry Lieber and his big bro Stan. Drama and pathos in the Mighty Marvel Manner!

This was a book that I loved when I was younger after pulling it out of a back issue bin, and it's wonderful to see the original art from it. Thanks so much for sharing it here!
