DescriptionAs Agents Frayn and Branko frolic in the Great Lake, Carolyn finishes her story of childhood tragedy involving Bryan, her family's robot babysitter. “From then on, my mother began to drink even more and indulge in Bacon, who took advantage of the situation to enter our house more and more freely...” (For Carolyn, Bacon’s presence meant ongoing molestation.) “And your father?” “Crushed by the pain of his dead son first, and his wife's betrayal afterwards, he questioned his moral values, to the point of forgetting them. He dedicated himself to the dam, letting Bacon dominate his life... and replaced his lost son with Bryan, drawing a comfort from it that I never understood. In fact, I found it grotesque. Replacing a dead son with a robot... how absurd!” (In fact, we are already seeing people emotionally entangled with overly affirming AI in real life, just as predicted in films like “Her.”) “I think I understand what you mean... after all, you were in his life.” (Check out Branko’s mock-threatening pose in panel four.) “Evidently, I wasn't enough. However, in the end, my father made different decisions. He chose to change and seek redemption, which cost him his life. I wasn't able to forgive him, but today I can at least understand him.” Meanwhile in the lab, Bryan finishes recharging his battery, which the Flesya plant has imbued with much more power than usual. On pages 180-194, the leisure time ends abruptly. Frost and his soldiers storm the hidden colony to claim its water for Bacon, using the civilians as leverage. Bryan the robot intervenes, zapping Frost's commandos. A fight breaks out. Frost flees, dragging Carolyn along as a hostage. She leads him into a tunnel that terminates in a lake with a giant whirlpool. Nathan follows and distracts Frost. Carolyn bashes Frost with a rock, but he swats her into the whirlpool. Uh-oh! Hopefully Bryan's battery life doesn't degrade quickly over time like every iPhone I've ever owned!

Nice split of different types of storytelling between the two pages. A wordy exposition and a sillent sequence. Alpha 5 is recharging before Zordon and the Power Rangers return.
