DescriptionHappy Fred Friday!I loved this sketch card so much that, after winning it on eBay, I had to go ahead and find a Batman #162 to buy to go with it. Luckily I was able to find this nice CGC 9.0 graded copy of the book. The plot of the issue is really fun as well: Eric Barroc, a renegade scientist, uses an evolutionary ray to make animals into quasi-humans who commit crimes for him using their feral natures. When Batman intervenes, he gets a blast of the ray and is transformed into a rampaging creature. The Batman creature has to be tamed and guided by Robin, Bat-Hound and Batwoman. Together, they find the scientist's lair and they take the criminal down. With the case closed Robin uses the machine to return Batman to his human form. BAT MONSTER FOREVER!!! Social/Sharing |

Hembeck is costing you a LOT of money. Not only have you collected a ton of his drawings, but now they're even making you buy matching CGC comics!

Yeah, I never seem to have a problem finding new ways to spend money in this hobby. Though I do like it when I can combine my love of books with my love of original art.

Next thing you know, they'll come up with slabbing cards.

75 down and only 25 to go. Can't wait to see what Hembeck #100 will be. Until then, happy Fred Friday to all. Enjoy that weekend everyone.

Why does it look like he's smiling and chewing simultaneously!? is that even possible? Nice pairing it up with a minty 9.0 copy!
