DescriptionUltimate Electro Character Design Pin UpPublished in Ultimate Spider-Man Omnibus Vol. 1 & 3 Art (pencils) by Mark Bagley It's very hard for me to believe that Ultimate Spider-Man and the original Ultimate Universe in general is turning 25 years old next year in 2025. It's my favorite comic book run of the 2000s, highlighted by Brian Michael Bendis' writing and Mark Bagley's artwork as the creative pair had a record breaking run together on the book. As the owner of the first panel appearance page or "birth page" of the Ultimate Universe (Earth-1610 in Marvel) version of Electro, aka "Ultimate Electro" from Ultimate Spider-Man #10, Mark Bagley's original character design sketch for the character was a perfect accompanying piece, so I had to get it when I saw the chance to at a decent price. It's done on a full 11x17 board pin-up style which is a lot bigger than your usual style guide or prelim piece. Also a nice bonus that it was also published in both Ultimate Spider-Man Omnibus Vol. 1 and Vol. 3, which I'll add to the additional images section. I have the style guide and the first appearance page side by side in the portfolio! Social/Sharing |

Very cool character and he gets better and more nekkid in the later issues. Who needs Fruit of the Loom when you are pure energy?

Gotta love design pieces, especially when you can pair it up with the first appearance art - congrats on both! Just looking at this makes me think of the freedom and fun they had with the original early Ultimate Spider-Man...it definitely showed in the reading!

Any different Electro costume is better than the one the mainline version of Electro has but this one really works.

if 25 years is hard to imagine, just think how how hard it will be to when this line turns 50? You will be really old then! So on the positive side enjoy your youth now!

Fantastic pairing with the page! I'd consider this a character design or re-design for the Ultimate Spidey universe. Love seeing these and even cooler that it was published.

Character designs are always a really cool little niche thing to collect, but it's doubly cool that this one has been paired up with the character's first appearance page. Congrats, dude, this is a nice little coup on your part!
