DescriptionComic Art Live pickup!!!In the 90s I was deep into trading card collecting. While I loved a lot of the sets that came out back then, none of them were as captivating as the Marvel Masterpieces sets. Seeing comic characters presented as fine art was just too cool and made them feel even more like characters from the greek myths I loved when I was younger. I've been out of the card collecting game for a long time now, but the art from the modern Marvel Masterpieces is still amazing. When Matt DiTullio offered this original painting up for an amazing price during Comic Art Live, I couldn't pass it up. Especially considering a portion of the proceeds went to charity! Bianchi is a modern master whose dynamic style is always stunning. He even managed to make the Wrecker look cool! The composition on this piece is fun and makes you believe the that the enchanted crowbar is swinging right at you! The color choices are spot on and really sell the lighting. Even the background, which is relatively simple, has a wonderful texture and blend of colors that adds a depth and overall gritty feeling to the piece. Matt had a rough sketch that Simone did for this piece, along with a prelim that was available as a redemption through Upper deck. Social/Sharing |

It's beautiful! One of the most high end pieces of the Wrcker you'll ever see! It's even more mesmerizing than that Upper Deck hologram!

congrats on the MM card art pickup during CAL! it's a nice package with the rough, prelim, and COA to go along with the final publushed art. Maybe a minty example of the trading card would complete the set!

So not only did you score a great Bianchi painting but the full set of art works leading to it? This was fate, my friend. And congrats!
