DescriptionA couple nights ago I posted the two page sequence (pg 38-39) from Amazing Spider-Man vol 6 #50 where Peter Parker is first transformed into the Spider-Goblin, complete with the Goblin maniacal laugh and all of Norman Osborn's evil. Please click on the orange link below to check out the birth of a new Goblin!In the next issue (#51) Spider-Goblin appears for the first time in costume in a stunning double page splash that was posted by David Wayne. I was fortunate enough to pick up the cover to the next issue (#52) where Spider-Goblin appears for the first time in costume on a cover. And here it is! It's a really fun homage to Amazing Spider-Man #300 of course, with a ton of "HAHAHAHAHA"s permeating the background instead of a bunch of “300”s. Just perfect for a Goblin cover! Spider-Gob, Spider-Gob, can do anything a Spider does.
Ok that doesn't exactly rhyme but its the best I got.

Definitely a fun Amazing Spider-Man #300 homage, and I like that the Goblin Glider's exhaust trail goes over top of the laughter. Now all they need to do is have Spidey swing around town wearing Green Goblin's costume!

Well coordinated to bring the new into the old layout! Even the pumpkin bomb design is affected! Really great with the smoke trail breaking the backgrounds!

I don't know how you do it, but you always manage to pick up the coolest, newest, most significant ASM pieces faster than anyone! Love this cover, homaging Amazing Spider-Man #300, with the SPIDER-GOBLIN! Gorgeous design by Ed McGuiness, who's fast becoming one of my favorite Marvel Artists! I love the way he drew Spider-Goblin, with limbs as limber as anything the Toddfather ever drew. The maniacal look on Gobby's face is delightful, as are the laughs on the background (Echoing the 300's in ASM #300). Love the Spider-Eyes on the Pumpkin bomb too! Another gem to your treasure trove of fabulous art!
