DescriptionAttended the first Eddie P Con in West Mifflin,PA this past weekend, and ended up bringing home this commission from comic artist Enrico Botta. It was a heartfelt and emotional convention that celebrated Ed's life, insane work ethic, and passion for comics. I left knowing that it definitely needs to happen again next year.Enrico is working in a newer style and I really thought that Hellboy would be a perfect choice after I had seen a piece that he had recently done. Safe to say that Enrico delivered an original and also quite fitting rendition of the character. As soon as I saw the hand I got a big smile. The little demon skulls and trail of smoke from the stogie are really nice touches, but folks we got tentacles too!! That's what I'm talking about :) Overall, this piece has some wonderful Halloween/spooky vibes and I just find it works so well for the character. A very sincere thanks to Enrico for the commission. It was a pleasure to meet him and get to discover his work. This piece will also serve as a great memory from the first Eddie P Con, and that's a bonus you can't put a price on. Like the art that Eddie P celebrated, this has an outlaw style! The work shows the unique personal vision of Botta and how it deviates from the Mignola base design.

So great. At a glance, it's mignola. After a real look it's a beautiful interpretation. That right hand of doom is magical. Also really dig that slumping look. Outstanding take on Mr. Anung Un Rama hisownself.

Great request and the result is an original take on a character that also fully embraces the original creator's vision. Very nice.
