DescriptionStar Wars: The Mandalorian Season 2 Adaptation #2 Pg. 30Art by Steven Cummings Written by Rodney Barnes (original episode of the TV series from which this issue was adapted written by Jon Favreau) Star Wars: The Mandalorian Season 2 issue 2 was part of the adaptation comic series from Marvel Comics released in 2023 of the popular Star Wars universe live action tv series The Mandalorian on Disney Plus! The 2nd issue of Season 2 of the comic represents "Chapter 10: The Passenger", ie Season 2 episode 2 of the tv series (each issue number, matches up to it's corresponding TV episode from the specific season the volume is adapting at the time - 1 episode per 1 issue). This episode was a fun fan favorite for multiple reasons and also controversial online for one specific reason, if you know you know! ;) Nice pencil art by Steven Cummings (who is located in Japan and ships/packs very well and quickly!)- as we see The Mandalorian (Din Djarin), Grogu (aka Baby Yoda), and "Frog Lady" (no other specific name necessary! lol), narrowly escaping Giant Spider creatures (which were inspired by an old Ralph McQuarrie concept painting) with some assistance (not shown on this page) from New Republic patrol X-Wings. They take off to space, escaping from the ice planet on the Razor Crest ship! But the ship is suffering from damage on one of it's engines. The bottom left panel with the shot of Frog Lady clutching her case of (fertilized?) eggs and Grogu looking longingly at them, followed by the panel of him having sneakily taken one of the eggs, just plain cracks me up haha. It's still ridiculous to me how the Grogu egg eating situation became "controversial", so looking at this page brings a smile to my face ;-p Social/Sharing |

Frog Lady has been one of my favorite characters out of the whole series, and the work Misty Rosas did in the costume was commendable.
But the poor Razor Crest! That ship is so abused in such a short span - picked apart by Jawas, nearly destroyed by the ice spiders, blown up by Gideon's troops. Sigh. Gone too soon.

Those Grogu images are so cute, but I think what I love best about this page is that it made Jeff lament a flying vessel that was destroyed too soon for his liking! 🤣

yea Jeff and me both lol. That sentiment/lament was felt by the entire active fanbase of Star Wars at the time, and probably still is :-/ - great ship while it lasted
