DescriptionPost 1 of 2.Another great action page from the recently released Spectacular Spider-Men #1 by Humberto Ramos and Victor Olazaba, as Spidey tackles a hulked-out Jackal. Of course Spidey can't help quipping, "So what's the deal, Doc? You went and added gorilla DNA to the genetic soup you've been slurping?" (Great writing by Greg Weisman by the way). Then Spidey tries to yank off what he thinks is a Jackal mask ... but it's not a mask! Social/Sharing |

Wow, Humberto appears to be going all out on this book, with incredible results. The first page you posted was joyful and playful? While this one dials up the suspense and drama. Great stuff!

Some dynamic storytelling with great movement here. The finishes are great, too!

Ramos is really giving the Spider-Men and Olazaba a workout! This is not only action, but also illustration in quality of the hatching to define the level of lighting and shadow.

I love every panel on this. I can't say that about all sequential art I have seen in my years of collecting. Really great pick up!!!

And we've hit the storm :) A big, hairy, one. Great action scene storytelling top to bottom, and Victor really went all out on the inks. Really does seem like both made the most of the Spidey first issue opportunity! Congrats!
