From the historic Last Issue of Adventures of Superman, closing out the first volume of this particular Superman Comic. This issue served as a crossover as Earth 1 and Earth 2�s Supermen literally collide in the midst of the DC company-wide crossover Infinite Crisis.

On this page we have Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Hawkman, Manchester Black, and the rest of The JLE (Justice League Elite) versus a never ending army of OMACs. Among the OMAC horde are numerous Super villains, who had been trapped in the Phantom Zone, but have returned as mindless OMAC drones. Some of the villains� Black Adam, Bizzaro, Cheetah, Doctor Polaris, and Deathstroke!

Adventures of Superman #649 is an issue of the series Adventures of Superman (Volume 1) with a cover date of April, 2006. It was published on March 1, 2006.

On Earth-One, Kal-L and his Justice League Elite sentenced several villains to the Phantom Zone. Maxwell Lord secretly monitors the JLE's activities and decides that they have grown too powerful and corrupt. Wonder Woman recognizes the threat that the League may evolve into and agrees that she and her fellow Amazons will follow Maxwell Lord should he choose to take action. Lord activates the OMACs and sends them out to sanction known super-heroes.
