DescriptionPublished 1970Catcher in the Sky written by Mike Sekowsky Page 2 of 6. Linda decides to investigate and heads out to the ocean but try as she may, she finds no clue about the disappearance of the vessel. One of the things I had to used to with Sekowsky's art was that Supergirl was frequently awkward in her flying poses as opposed how elegant other artists such as Schaffenberger portrayed her. Artwork shows her promise
The range of the planes
Their boat that would never drift away
Where did they go, Lord? Where did they go?
You know somehow Adventure
Slipped out of my hands
And my dreams ran away with the bids
Where did they go, Lord? Where did they go?
You know sometimes I wish
I had lost the whole carrirer
Well but Lord she just floated all alone
But all that my vision sees is the bitter just ending
And bewildered because her boat is gone

This Supergirl costume is less likely than some to be worn under street clothes since it has a skirt and what looks like a belt of circular metal plates. Linda was wearing slacks on the previous page. Obviously she has to keep the belt, gloves, and thigh-high boots somewhere nearby at all times, lest she risk going out to fight crime without her whole ensemble.

Picture yourself in a boat on a river
With tangerine trees and marmalade skies
Somebody calls you, you answer quite slowly
A girl with kaleidoscope eyes

I really liked Sekowsky's run on Supergirl and this page is a great example of it.

I echo your feelings regarding Sekowsky's poses. It's like he thought she was supposed to be full on drunk all the time!
