DescriptionThis double-page spread from Spectacular Spider-Man 72 features the art from one of my favorite Spider-Man artists of the 1980s, Ed Hannigan. The pages show a gathering of teenagers dressed as members of the Sinister Six. There's also the first appearance, in shadow, of Oliver "Ollie" Osnick dressed here as Doc Ock. Later, he appeared later in Amazing Spider-Man 263 as Spider-Kid. We would see Ollie as an adult in Thunderbolts as the Steel Spider.In addition to the pages, I attached a series of prelims that Hannigan drew mostly on vellum. Three of them are for page 4, one for page 5, one for page 6, and one of Spider-Man as he appears on the cover of the issue tangled in mechanical arms. Social/Sharing |
