It's not hard to imagine it's Cap coming out from the ice fighting Iron Man, Hulk, and the Wasp. But this has that old school golden age metal patina with Granov's shading work.

I'm so jealous. I tried bidding on this, but I had already commited to buying a rather expensive Starman cover the following month and just couldn't go any higher. Congrats on a very fine piece of art.
Fyi, this piece has been sold three times in the last five years. So if you should ever decide to be the fourth seller, please let me know. ;)

Will do. Thanks for the information about the sales history. I love the Starman covers. There are two Tony Harris ones coming up for auction in the Comic Link auction that begins May 16.

Sigh, I saw those. But i don't think I can afford another big art purchase in the same month. Hopefully they go to a good home and don't get picked up by a dealer who just wants to flip them.
