DescriptionDavid Mattingly Specimens Paperback Cover Painting Original Art (Ace Books, 1983).I read the back of the book (see addt'l pics) and the story is intriguing.... I just might have to read this one! From the Heritage description: This striking and engaging cover was for Fred Saberhagen's sci-fi horror tale. It looks like it's got a gothic romance vibe going for it also, with that "Robots-running-from-burning-houses" motif! Created in acrylic on illustration board, Image is 12.75" x 21" I also wrote to the artist and asked him if he had any preliminaries and was able to pic up several. Gosh I luv this man! (in a fan sort of way - i know he's married! LOL) I'll add the prelims in a day or so. Social/Sharing |
