Description

I did not think I was going to get a chance to get a commission from Simone Bianchi but I emailed Matt D and I got the last spot for a piece he would finish on the first day of the OAX 2025. Simone started this in his studio in Italy and finished it at the show.

I really wanted to get a Spiderman from Simone and when I picked it Matt DiTullio said I had to promise to get him a hi-res scan so that it can be published in Simone's headshot book. Needless to say I was thrilled to have a piece that would be published.

You can actually feel the texture of the paint on the mask which was really an interesting detail.

Thanks to Matt and Simone for getting this done.

The texture of Spideys mask truly helps this commish leap from the page with the same energy as any of his Spidey pieces. Congrats!

Was lucky enough to see this in person, among you rother OAX gets. The textures of the mask, the lens sheen, lighting...a dramatically gorgeous rendition of Spidey from SB! Congrats, man, and yes, getting a publication is alwasy good :)

You can definitely see why Matt and Simone would want it published in his headshot book. It's such a unique angle for Spidey, and lighting it from below lets us imagine him perched atop a streetlamp. Congrats on another beautiful piece!

Sick piece! The underlighting creates effects that Simone has to be very measured when using. The shadows and light over the costume colors and textures come from a hyper realism.
