DescriptionBefore I ever knew what comic original art was, I collected Iron Man comics. The first comic I remember buying was Iron Man #282. In the years that followed I would slowly collect back issues from the 60s and 70s, each feeling like a weighty treasure brimming with vintage promises of excitement pronounced on brittle, musty pages. Adding any issue under #100 to my collection felt like an achievement.I'm incredibly excited today to add my first page from Iron Man to my collection. While there's unfortunately no Iron Man on the page, it's an incredibly important page from the series with one of the run's few major 1st appearances. I've also always loved this page due to the hilarious introduction of Moondragon as "Madame MacEvil." I've long wanted a page that exhibited the off the cuff humor of 60s/70s Marvel, but I never thought it would be one as iconic as this. An enormous thanks to Gerard Nadal for being willing to part with this historic page during the recent CAF Live event. I find it interesting that both Tuska and Everett are credited with pencils on this issue. If anyone knows more about their specific contributions to this page, I'd love to know more. a really nice looking page, and a historic first apperance of a great character! congrats on adding original art to your Iron Man nostalgia as well!

Moondragon looks sexy as heck with some far out fashions! It is right before the Marvel cosmic era explodes, and this might have been a great lead in with the way she looks.

Congrats! I have a page from the same issue. Bill Everett inked the Sub-Mariner heads.

Thanks Jerry! So this page is essentially all Tuska? Do you think Everett inked the Namor head in the center of this page?

I'm not an Everett specialist. You should ask Mark Levy.

Going by GCD, Everett had the story idea and inked the Sub-Mariner heads so you might have a little Everett inking on the page.

Great shots of Moondragon in her first appearance, and it really does have that dramatic vintage Marvel storytelling top to bottom! Congrats on your first Iron Man, piece, man. I dare say it won't be your last :)
