I've always admired Marco Rudy's unique take on comic book paneling and had been waiting for a good opportunity to pick up some of his work. When Cadence put his art on sale to support his Kickstarter, I couldn't think of a better opportunity.

Marco's pages are almost exclusively gorgeous, fully painted pieces. These two Doctor Strange pages from the 2014 New Avengers Annual are no exception. Marco essentially never uses traditional paneling, and instead uses the environment or action of a scene to create natural panel breaks. What better scene to utilize this technique than one where Doctor Strange combats a demon in the mindscape?

I love these two vibrant action pages by Marco and couldn't be more excited to bring them into the collection. Enormous thanks to Marco and Cadence for making this happen and a huge congrats to Marco for more than fully funding his Kickstarter. The color work is next level. You can appreciate up close but also need to step back and take the whole image in. Cool stuff. Congrats!

Beautiful page! I was really contemplating getting a page when Cadence was running that sale. Rudy's page compositions are so innovative, very reminiscent of JH Williams III. Add the stunning colorwork and you're really got a winner!
