DescriptionIt is said that Mandrake was actually comics' first superhero. He was there the first one making miracles, and much before superheroes started making amazing things. However, I am leaving this debate of the first superhero for comics historians. But at least one thing is sure: Mandrake knew how to dress, period. If having any doubts about this, please just look at the artwork. At least he didn't wear underpants on top of his trousers. Which has been mostly the outfit for superheroes. There has been now and then a possibility to pick those great looking and historical Mandrake dailies at a very reasonable price, so why not? ;-) This 4-9-1960 daily is from the "Spooks" story. It started on March 21 and ended on June 11 1960. The size of the artwork is about 17" x 5". Social/Sharing |
