DescriptionIt is said that Mandrake was actually comics' first superhero.He was there the first one making miracles, and much before superheroes started making amazing things. However, I am leaving this debate of the first superhero for comics historians. As a scuba and freediver I am delighted to see how accurately all is again drawn here, especially that triple tank with its hoses. There has been now and then a possibility to pick those great looking and historical Mandrake dailies at a very reasonable price, so why not? ;-) This 2-11-1960 daily is from the "Secret of the Sargasso" story. It started on December 28 1959 and ended on March 19 1960. The size of the artwork is about 17" x 5". Social/Sharing |

Mandrake was popular in a lot of places throughout the years. He uses no magic here, but still has our complete attention.
